Rock the block overview & history

Rock the Block is a neighborhood revitalization event organized by Habitat for Humanity Lakeside along with several community partners including the City of Sheboygan, the Sheboygan Fire Department, the Sheboygan Police Department and the IBEW Local 494. As part of the event, Habitat provides affordable financing for exterior home repairs and community projects in a designated neighborhood. Our community partners assist with additional services such as brush removal, lighting improvements and fire safety checks. Volunteers and neighbors in the designated neighborhood carry out the work.
Rock the Block events have now taken place on Clara Avenue (October of 2017), Kuehne Court (June 2018), on South 9th Street between Broadway and Georgia (October of 2018) and in the End Park and North Railway neighborhoods (September of 2019). Our 2020 event has been cancelled due to COVID-19. We will resume the Rock the Block program in fall of 2021.
